Joining a Live Session

• Join a Rolljak session effortlessly! We designed our app to be accessible to everyone, no personal information is required.
• Click on the link or scan the QR code your facilitator shared using your personal device. Alternatively, you may head over to rolljak.me and type in the Session Code shown on the facilitator's screen.
  • Add your preferred Display Name and click "Join Session".

• You have now successfully entered the Session!

After Entering a Session

• Draw your avatar using your finger as a pen and click "submit". There will be a minigame available while you wait for the Session to begin.

Can I still join a session even if it’s already started?

• Yes, you can join mid-session. But remember that you will only be able to participate in the activities which haven't started yet in the session.
  • Use the same link and session code which the facilitator can still access on the topbar of the Session

Do I need to have an account to join the session?

No, you can join as a guest!

If I have a Rolljak account, how do I join a session?

The Session joining steps are the same, whether you are logged in or not. The information will not be stored under your personal account, unless part of an instituition-wide plan.

Participating in an activity

You will automatically be doing the first activity after the facilitator starts the session. If you have any questions related to the content of the activity or session, it’s better to ask your facilitator beforehand. We suggest you pay attention to the facilitator’s screen to check on any image, gif, or video that is in relation to the activity you’re participating in.

What kind of activities will I participate in? How should I respond?

It depends on the activity. If it’s a multiple-choice question, you just need to select an answer or response. If it’s an Open Ended question, you need to type in a statement or write a more detailed & descriptive response on a given topic or question. Another type of response is sketches. You may be asked to draw your answer.

Where can I find the question about the activity I’m participating in?

The facilitator screen shows questions & media (if any) during the activities.

What does it mean to collaborate with another participant? What can I do in this phase?

The collaboration feature allows participants to exchange ideas and add on to another participant's response. After participants submit their responses, you will be shown one of them randomly and anonymously which you need to add on to level up the idea.

How do I evaluate other participants’ answers, responses, or ideas?

• It depends on the evaluation method. You may need to scale it based on metrics, invest in the idea using imaginary money, or categorize the response by tags.

Can I pause or skip an activity?

Only facilitators have the ability to do so, but ask them if it’s necessary!

What should I do if I need more time during the activity?

Request more time from your facilitators if it is necessary.

Am I able to see the result of an activity?

The result of your own answer or response will be shown at the end of each activity, while the result of the whole activity in the session would be displayed on the facilitator’s screen.

Participating on a Team Session

Rolljak allows facilitators to activate Team Mode for a session. This feature allows participants to foster team spirit in a competitive manner.

What is the difference?

You will play as a team with other participants in completing each activity during the session. The names of the teams will appear when the session starts, and participants choose the team before doing the activities.

Can I choose my team?

When the session goes live, you can choose a team, however, the facilitator may reassign you to another team if it is needed.

What will happen if I forget to choose a team?

The facilitator is able to check whether all participants are already in a team and assign them if they haven’t been in one.

In Team Mode, will I collaborate with or evaluate another team member?

If the facilitator enables Collaboration it will be done within the team, while Peer Evaluations are random and occur between all participants regardless of their team.

After the session ends

It’s up to your facilitator’s schedule. You may be reviewing the results of the session or moving on to the next agenda.

What happens when the session ends?

You will see an ending page such as a Podium of the winners. You may close the tab on your device.
