Session Waiting Room

🎉 The waiting room is sort of like a virtual meeting point where you wait for participants to join in your session. You can monitor whether all attendees have gathered before starting the session.

Where can I find the waiting room? What can I do there?

You automatically get into the waiting room when your session is going live. Invite the participants by clicking on Share Link and sending the link over to them. If they are already in rolljak.me, share the Session Code shown at the top left of your screen.
To prevent intruders or other reasons, you can kick a participant(s) from your session. Select the name of the attendee, click the More icon (triple vertical dots), and choose Kick From Session.
When you’re ready or if all participants have joined, click Start to begin your session.

What are the participants doing when they wait for the session to start?

When joining the session, participants must enter their names. They may use their alias or real names or basically any names unless you make a prior agreement on this.
After they enter the session, participants may draw their avatars and submit them. If they finish early, they’ll cut sushis while waiting for the session to start (it’s quite a fun game to kill time!).

How do I know that all participants have joined my session?

You can check the number of participants joining the session at the top right of your screen. Encourage them to quickly join and just make sure everybody is in 😉

What should I do if some of the participants come after I’ve started the session?

No worries, they can always join mid-session. But remember that they can’t redo the activities they missed, they will only participate in the next activities of your session.
They can join the session using the same link and session code.
